(Diagram below) 1. Includes a bypass already built in that gives you water
when you may be working on the system OR if you are on
a chlorinated water system, every 3 months or so, you may shut
the filters off and open the bypass and get chlorinated water
in all the piping. 2. Very Important - The "outlet" of pre-filter hooks into the "outlet" of the big tank filter. This leaves the "in" side free to hook up to the one-micron post filter housing inlet. The outlet then goes to the house. Use cleaner on joints. Then cement-weld joints using pvc cement. Then use Teflon tape on all threaded joints. (Cleaner, cement & tape not supplied). 3. After everything is hooked up and ready to turn water on, leave post filter cartridge out of housing. 4. Turn water on slowly until all of air escapes at nearest faucet. The water will run dark. 5. Once air is out, the water may be turned on faster and flushed until water looks clean. Once water is clear, shut off water and insert the break-in post filter cartridge into housing. Enclosed is a break-in cartridge (could be 3, 5 or 10 micron-size) for the post-filter that can be used for the 1st month or so. This will give system time to clear out any major debris. Then after the one month's time, insert the 1 micron-size filter cartridge into the post-filter housing for all future filtering. 6. Note: The water will have a lot of air bubbles coming out for a few days. This is harmless. If you fill a clear glass, you will see bubbles rise to the top and leave the water crystal clear. 7. Replace filter cartridges at least every 12 months or when water flow slows. Changing cartridge
