The QUADRIONIC Arsenic-Fluoride Purification System Installation
(diagram below)

1. This system includes a bypass already built in that gives you water when you may be working on the system OR if you are on a chlorinated water system, every 3 months or so, you may shut the filters off and open the bypass and get chlorinated water in all the piping. Leave it overnight just as a precaution to kill bacteria that could have found a way in.
NOTE: This may not be necessary, but it is one of those easy things to do that can give you peace of mind.

2. Tank 1 is labeled "QUADRIONIC Arsenic-Fluoride Filter" (a down flow filter).
Tank 2 is labeled "QUADRIONIC Polishing Filter" (an up flow filter).

3. Connect Tank 1 & 2 together with the pre-filter before Tank 1 (Arsenic-Fluoride Filter) & post-filter after Tank 2 (Polishing Filter) - See diagram below.

Important: Leave filter cartridge out of the post-filter housing until whole system is flushed out to prevent cartridge from plugging.

a) Water source goes to pre-filter "inlet".
b) The pre-filter "out" goes to the "in" of Tank 1.

c) Very Important: The "out" of Tank 1 goes to "out" of Tank 2 (as Tank 2 is an up flow filter).

d) The "in" of Tank 2 goes to "in" of post-filter.
e) Post-filter "out" goes to the house as purified water
f) Use cleaner & cement-weld joints & use pvc cement - Then use Teflon tape on all threaded joints (Cleaner, cement & tape not supplied).

4. Before turning on water, be sure the replaceable cartridge is out of the post-filter housing (last cartridge filter) & leave it out until water system is flushed out! This will prevent the post filter cartridge from plugging up.

Use supplied spigot to flush the tanks out with the shutoff valve going to the house in closed position. Note: This is to keep the dark dusty water out of the house piping. Turn water on slowly until all of air escapes. The water will run dark.

5. Once air is out, the water may be turned on faster and flushed until water looks clean. Once water is clear, shut off water and insert post-filter cartridge into housing. Enclosed is a break-in cartridge for the post-filter that can be used for the 1st month or so.

6. Note: The water will have a lot of air bubbles coming out for a few days. This is harmless. If you fill a clear glass, you will see bubbles rise to the top and leave the water crystal clear.

7. Replace filter cartridges in pre- and post-filter housings at least every 12 months or when water flow slows.

Changing replaceable cartridge filters for pre- & post-filter:

1. Close both bypass valves (handles).
2. Hold empty bucket under open spigot to de-pressurize system.
3. Water will run into the bucket.
4. Then you may use the wrench supplied to open & close the filter housings for filter changes.

QUADRIONIC Arsenic - Fluoride Whole House Water Filter

Above diagram shows 2 bypass valves in OPEN position (straight in line with piping), but is to be closed during use. Closed position would be perpendicular to piping.

Important: The "out" of Tank 1 goes to "out" of Tank 2 (as tank 2 is an up flow filter).
