- There are 4 filter disk media bed separators - one before each stage.
- The large diameter of pressure vessel & each disk slows water flow
to spread it over the whole surface of the media.
- This prevents CHANNELING at each stage.
- This increases contact time resulting in higher purity at each stage.

- So the next time you take a moment to drink a
refreshing glass of water,
keep this in mind:
|
|
41
|
- Cycled & recycled in an incredible and
never ending self-cleaning
process.
- A natural process which is now being
stressed to unnatural limits due to:
- increasing agricultural runoff
- industrial pollutants
- inadequate sewage treatment facilities
- deteriorating pipes & fittings
|
|
42
|
- Water circulates throughout the
earth's surface as rivers, streams, lakes, and oceans.
- Water flow generates electrical
power and forms natural super highways for transportation while
functioning as
the nation's collective sewage waste disposal system.
- Ultimately some of that same
water winds its way through water treatment plants and end up on your
home as potable water for drinking and food preparation.
|
|
43
|
- There are a number of threats to drinking water:
- improperly disposed of chemicals
- animal wastes
- pesticides
- human wastes
- wastes injected deep underground
- …and naturally occurring
substances can all
contaminate drinking
water.
- Drinking water that is not
properly treated or disinfected,
or which travels through an improperly maintained
distribution system, may
also pose a health risk.
|
|
44
|
- Water contaminated with fecal
bacteria, parasites and other microbes causes
about 6,000 deaths every day.
…including 1.4 million children under the
age of 5 every year.
